Hello loves! Happy first day of March! Starting a new month, and almost halfway through the week, time is just flying by! Soon, the daylight saving will begin, which means spring is almost here! As much as I loved wearing sweater dresses and OTK boots, I’m super excited to bring those breezy clothes out of my closet. Speaking of which, brings us to my new post featuring 2 lovely outfits from Makemechic, a monochrome sweater dress, and a co-ord knit set.
Most of you already know about this brand, I’ve worked with them before, and they’ve a really amazing collection. As amusing as it sounds, one of my favourite dresses, and the first white dress, I ever owned was from Makemechic. It is a gorgeous white eyelet dress, I’ve featured it on my blog, and for those of you who have missed this post, you can take a look at it here. I’m extremely impressed with their designs, the affordability and the quality of their clothes.
The first outfit is a Monochrome striped sweater dress, which is under $25! I am a big fan of sweater dresses and stripes, so this one instantly caught my eye. What I really liked about this dress is the mock neck detail. This dress is so perfect for all Spring, Fall, and even Winter, if styled well. I styled this dress with OTK boots (surprise..surprise!), and a bold lip colour! And, this was a winner of the casual chic look, in my opinion. Don’t you think so too? I really love one piece outfits, and this one takes the crown!
My second outfit is a Ribbed midi co-ord set in the colour Taupe. Taupe is definitely a fall colour, and Its really classy. I’ve never really worn a pencil skirt, I’ve always felt it doesn’t suit my body type (It’s all in the head!) Ergo..didn’t really try one, until now! It is really comfortable, very versatile, and easy to style (pssst…It is under $15!) Although, I love Taupe, as it is, I felt that adding some colour would make this outfit stand out. So, I layered this with a Teal, Tiered pleated sleeves blouse to add some colour, and a bit of drama. I’m so digging the dramatic sleeves, and embroidery trend off late, I can’t get enough of them. I styled this look with a pair of suede kitten heels in orange, and went with bold lips again.
I hope you enjoyed this post, browse through their collection at www.makemechic.com, I’m sure you’ll be impressed too.
