Happy Birthday Love, Lace, and Louboutins :):) I still can’t believe I’m celebrating the first year blogiversary. Last year around this time I started my blogging journey as an insight into my life, little did I know that it would soon mean something to me. In fact, it means a lot me, just because, I’m following my heart. How many of you all feel that you could have done something you love in your life? followed your heart? Instead of doing something that you are not into. Some of us have the choice to, and some of us don’t or rather we do not make the choice, thinking we might not make it in this tough world. We follow the herd just because, standing out in the crowd is against the social norms, apparently. I had the choice to follow my heart a year ago, to do what I love. Here is a little about me that most of you already know, some of you don’t.
I am an immunologist by profession, blogger by passion, and a fashionista at heart 🙂 or so, I think 😛 I moved to Dallas, Texas after being married to the love of my life, almost 2 years ago. I came on a visa that didn’t permit me to work so, technically I’m “Jobless”. That’s because, most of them don’t consider blogging as a profession. Blogging to me, is more than a profession, its my passion. I am afraid that somewhere down the line, I might have to stop doing what I love but, then again I’ve my husband to push me forward, and help me pursue what I love to do. I am planning to study further, and I might start to get a little hectic but, I’m gonna continue as long I can 🙂
So, today’s outfit is inspired by how my husband, my family, my best friends make me feel, like an Everyday Princess 🙂 Initially I had plans of wearing this for my birthday but, I couldn’t. I was waiting to wear this for another special occasion, and what better occasion than this one. I bought this skirt couple of months ago because, I absolutely loved the way it looked. I have a thing for ball gowns, long flowy skirts, ruffles, and all things pretty. This ball gown skirt took the crown, it is high waisted which, allowed me to pair it with a chic crop top, it has a cute bow detail in the front and it is pink. The skirt is 100% polyester, and the material is satiny soft. It is fully pleated which, makes the skirt more voluminous, and ball gown like. Like I stated earlier, I paired this skirt with a white crop top. I really wanted to keep this look elegant so, I wore these beautiful chandelier earrings. Completed this look with the glitter sandals, and a zebra print sequin clutch.
On that note, I would like to thank all those who have been reading my blog for a year, and showing your support 🙂 The journey so far has been incredible, I now know so many beautiful souls who are following what their heart told them to, who are doing an amazing job, even better than me. Some of these ladies work full time, and some of them are moms but, nothing stops them. I am a person who loves meeting new people, and making friends, being a blogger gives me the perk to socialize better. I’m glad to be a blogger 🙂
And also, It means a lot to me when I read your thoughts on my looks, and I feel motivated to do better. So, keep sharing your thoughts, and please support me like you always do. Thanks again, and sending loads of love your way 🙂
