Product Review: Smart Stuff products

June 27, 2016

“You would never skip the screening process for day care for a member of your family, why would you every skip the screening process for your family on a sunny day?” Legit, isn’t it?  Things that comes to ones mind when they hear summer is pool, beach, sunny day, margaritas, lemonade what not? But, the key to enjoying great summer, is a perfect shield for your skin! I know you all wanna bask in the sun, and soak up some sunshine! But, in the recent years, due to the depletion of ozone layer, UV rays are able to penetrate the earth’s atmosphere. UV rays as you know, are harmful radiations, and overexposure can cause freckling, sun burn. In the long run it can be much more serious, even life threatening, and include premature aging of the skin, suppression of the immune system, and skin cancer. Sunscreen is one way to protect your skin from the harmful rays from the sun. If sunscreen is to protect our skin, what if they have side effects? Yes, some sunscreens, although rare, can cause side effects like:

  • Acne.
  • Burning, itching, or stinging of the skin.
  • Early appearance of redness or swelling of the skin.
  • Late appearance of rash with or without weeping blisters that become crusted, especially in sun-exposed areas, and may extend to unexposed areas of the skin

So, you don’t want any skin issue ruining your precious vacation at the beach would you? But, what would you do? My suggestion, use a natural sunscreen! Now that the world is slowly drawn towards natural or organic products, why compromise with your skin. Smart Stuff is a new physician founded skincare brand formulated to be as safe as they are effective. It was born from necessity, and based on one simple concept: well-designed products should work great day in and day out without compromising your health. While the concept was simple, the execution and realisation of a full line of lifestyle and skin care products that met this principle was exceptional. Together, with a team of skin care professionals, they began developing products to address the areas of most concern to them. Their first products were a safe and effective mineral based sunscreen and all natural insect repellent. These products were soon followed with a complete line of skincare using some of the finest natural botanicals and bio-tech derived ingredients available. I received these two samples to review them on my blog.

**Smart Stuff™ Natural Mineral Based Sunscreen**

E39H68YRSC43BPCPe0Xg_Smart Stuff Sunscreen

It is a Natural Mineral based Sunscreen with SPF 30 that provides UVA/ UVB broad spectrum protection, formulated without harmful chemicals for your face and body. This sunscreen is both skin and environment friendly because it has  only zinc oxide, a natural mineral sun filter Since, the skin has natural regenerative powers that it uses to repair minor wounds, injuries, free radical damage, and more, but these processes require zinc to operate optimally. Without it, repair can fall behind. This moisture and antioxidant rich formula helps keep skin soft and smooth while fighting free radicals and defending against oxidative and environmental stress. Guess what? This sunscreen is Water Resistant (40 Minutes), it has Non-Oily, Non-Whitening Formula. It is Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable, Reef Safe. It is free of Parabens, PABA, Petroleum, Phthalates, Gluten
No artificial colours or fragrances. I have been using it for a couple of days, and its been amazing, I love the fact its non-greasy especially, in the scorching heat! It is easily absorbed by the skin. Makes the skin feel fresh, and smells great!
