Hola Amigos, how’s it going? My apologies for missing in action for the last couple of days, and for missing my post for the previous week, I was busy with a lot of DIYs. I just don’t know how time flies when you’re working on a project, I was working on a couple of them (Coffee table, Floor cushions, and Wind chimes), and I had no time to post this. Well now, I’m back with another Spring friendly post this week. Today’s post is all about pairing prints with plain. I might do more of these, in my upcoming posts, just because, it is so easy, and comfortable to style them.
Spring is all about florals, or at least according to me it is! And, I absolutely adore these prints, who doesn’t? So, prints, and plain go hand-in-hand, either you wear a printed top on a plain bottom, or plain top on a printed bottom like me. For some reason, the latter seems to be making a bold statement, because, you see majority of them going with the former. And, you might feel odd at first but, you’ll feel confident if you pair it rightly! I paired my printed trousers with a plain denim shirt. Denims are fashions best friend, it has been in the trend from ages. This trend doesn’t seem to fade, and if anything, it has evolved from generations. I was following this denim shirt trend couple of years ago when I was in India, and no surprises here, it is still in trend! I bought this shirt in 2012 for less than $10 from an online retail store in India!! Haven’t worn it ever since, and also I was waiting for the right floral skirt/trousers to pair with it. I had seen a floral wrap skirt in black from Zara but, to my disappointment, it was sold out! And, one day when I was grocery shopping in Costco, to my joy, I found the same print in these trousers. Thus, emerged this look 🙂 I accessorized this look with a statement necklace in metallic silver, and my favorite pair of Dior inspired sunnies, in metallic shade too. Since, I wore Valentino inspired studded ballerina flats in blush tone, I matched it with a patent leather clutch from Ted Baker.
So, that’s it for today but, I’ll be posting another spring inspired look, stay tuned! And, thank you for reading, I hope you liked this look Have a great week! Stay stylish!
