Hello lovely people! Happy Friday! 🙂 How was your week so far? It’s been a crazy week for me in terms of weather here in Dallas. It was rainy, and gloomy almost the whole week, and some days were just perfect like this one. So, today’s post is about fusion wear, I’ve been asked by many of my readers to do more posts featuring Indian outfits. I mean, with my roots being from India, no surprises here, I love dressing up in indian clothes. But, this time I wanted to mix up a few things, and go with an Indo-Western look. I decided to keep a few pieces Indian like the earrings, and the pants, and went the global way with the faux fur vest. I was surprised how these pieces were able to blend in together to form this whole look!

Today’s outfit key features Dhoti pants, and Faux fur vest. What are these Dhoti pants you ask? “Dhotis” used to be a traditional Indian garment for men. It has now transformed to become an attire for modern Indian women, and is termed as Dhoti Pants. These pants are loosely wrapped, and made to resemble the Dhoti. Traditionally, they’re wrapped using one piece of unstitched rectangular cloth which, are usually a couple yards in length. Well, wearing this can be quite tricky! But, lucky for us, we don’t have to go through any hassle of wrapping it up! They’re pre-stitched, and ready-to-wear just like this one! And, as for the Faux fur, it is everywhere lately, in pretty much all silhouettes and colors! I’ve been meaning to to do a post on the same for a long time now but, weather was not particularly interested in allowing me to do so. I put together these two pieces of outfits in one look, I chose a basic olive green tee shirt to go with my black dhoti pants, and the faux fur vest. I added a tan belt to give some definition to the look, and matched it with a pair of tan flats. I donned a traditional piece of earrings called, Jhumka Bali to complete my fusion look 🙂

I know most people say style and comfort are mutually exclusive but, I beg to differ! Just because, I know you can be both comfortable, and stylish with these key pieces. I’ve stressed on this fact a couple of times, in my previous posts too so, If you want to feel cozy, and not to mention cute this season, try wrapping up in some faux fur, and dhoti pants. I hope you all have a great weekend 🙂 Stay stylish!
