Hello lovely people! How was your weekend? How did you dress? Glam or casual?
Once the weekend rolls around, I want nothing more than my favorite Pj’s to hang around the house or, If you’re someone like me, at least dress like you don’t care. But, we’ve got places to go, people to see, and are thus forced off the couch. Since it’s much too cold for open-toed sandals, I had to give my mind a quick run to think what I’d be wearing! Then it hit me, why not sweatshirts!!

Sweatshirts are so much more than just the comfy clothes you wear when you’re being lazy around the house. It has become the cold-weather staple. They are warm, cozy, comfy and basically perfect. Being able to pair them with skirts, jeans and even heels is kind of a dream come true. This season’s stylish sweats have gotten a sophisticated upgrade, making them as chic as they are comfy (and completely au courant!)

Comfort doesn’t mean sacrificing your style credentials

IMG_4640IMG_4661IMG_4643This “bum-around-in” favorite has grown up, In more sophisticated silhouettes and richer fabrics. It is now an everyday staple, just as chic for weekend downtime as it is for weekday busy time. They’ve taken a new meaning, and it has transformed from being comfort outfit to a wardrobe must-have!! These are your plain, old-fashioned gray pullovers leveled up to become runway fashion. This “cozy-girl” vibe works just as well for brunches, cocktails, and fancy dinners. IMG_4689IMG_4716A simple grey sweatshirt can be very comfortable, no doubt! But, can it make you look chic? Heck, Yeah! It totally depends on how you style it. Here are the things you need to keep in mind when styling a sweatshirt to make it look more put-together than lazy:

  1. Make sure you’re wearing the right kind of sweatshirt.
  2. Make sure you find the right fit.
  3. Add accessories, like a printed scarf, to a sweatshirt and jeans for that glam quotient
  4. A statement necklace and fancy heels take jeans and a sweatshirt to a whole new level.
  5. Pair a plain sweatshirt with a pair of jeans and sneakers for a sporty but chic look.

IMG_4710IMG_4678So, I couldn’t resist buying when I found one such sweatshirt! It satisfies the idea of being a perfect sweatshirt in time. It is comfy, keeps me warm, chic, and It has that hint of feminine touch (Psst! It doesn’t look like a loungewear!). Initially, I paired this look with heels, and later I changed into these metallic sneakers. For some reason, I’m inclined towards the sneaker look, It was definitely more comfy than the heels! I then added the statement necklace to make it look more fun, and completed the look with the headband hairstyle.IMG_4691IMG_4680IMG_4676IMG_4673IMG_4669IMG_4696IMG_4722
