¤¤ Mesmerising Maui ¤¤

September 9, 2015

IMG_0158Hello everyone! I just realised that the gorgeous, bright, summer days are over, and dull, depressing, chilly weather is dawning upon us! So my husband and I decided to take a quick vacay to Maui, Hawaii. We have been there before in the month of February, right after we were married 🙂 I was spell bound by the beautiful beaches, peaceful island, and gorgeous other places, around the island! Absolutely breath taking!! It was not far before we took another trip to this place. We were drawn by the serenity of Maui, this included one of my favourite beaches, known as Kanaha, just 2 miles from the Kahulai International Airport. You can actually get a glimpse of this beach when you’re descending, and just about to land. This beach welcomes a lot of wind sailors, and para sailors. So, it is quite a site to see colourful parasails against the turquoise blue beach. We were ready for an escapade, to a sun-drenched destination with clear, turquoise-colored waters. The crystal clear water of this beach continually changes tones from turquoise to deep dark blue. We have tried to capture that in the pictures below. IMG_0156As I mentioned before, we have visited the beach before, the change was drastic!! (You can see the difference in the pictures below, it is the exact same beach) As excited as we were to go back to this paradise, we were highly disappointed. This beach looked nothing like what we had witnessed 6 months ago. Turquoise blue colour, which was the highlight of the beach, was all gone!! We realised, it was off season, and Maui was hit by a storm recently. Nevertheless, the weather was so pleasant that we just got carried away, and didn’t let the disappointment get to us.

There was another reason for our visit, It was this insanely tasty noodles called, Ay Kudesh! It is a pan fried Iwamoto saimin noodles with spicy Hawaiian chilli pepper sambal, and garlic chives. This was mind blowing!! If you ever happen to visit Maui, give this place a try. It is served at the Migrant restaurant, Marriot in Wailea.

August: Worn here is a blue halter neck maxi dress, cinched with a tan belt. I have paired this beach look with gold T-strap flats, and gold chain link earrings.thumb_IMG_3289_1024 thumb_IMG_3283_1024 thumb_IMG_3281_1024thumb_IMG_3295_1024 thumb_IMG_3301_1024 thumb_IMG_3321_1024
